Hi all,

This mailing list is shutting down soon. Thanks to the Faculty of Science at
Utrecht University for hosting it for many years. However, the large number of
subscribers was causing issues, so it's time to move it.

I've created a replacement mailing list:

nix-***@googlegroups.com

Note: that's *nix-devel*, not nix-dev. That name was already taken by another
project.

You can subscribe and browse the archive by visiting

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/nix-devel

If you don't have a Google account, you can subscribe by visiting

https://groups.google.com/group/nix-devel/subscribe

or by sending an empty mail to nix-devel+***@googlegroups.com.

Please let me know if you encounter any issues!

Hi! I realise this might be somewhat late but I have a friend who
runs a service that donates (for free) mailing lists with archiving
for FOSS projects, and I think that unless the traffic on the Nix
list is really really high he'd be prepared to host the mailing list
for this project. They already run lists for quite a few projects
including Lua's mailing list[1]. He may also be able to help with migration from
the existing list.

Hope this helps,
Richard Ipsum

Thanks for the announcement.

When do we plan to stop using this list? I want to make sure I am receiving
messages on the new list, so some type of test message in the near future
would be appreciated :)

I think it's going to be deleted/disabled tomorrow.
